Our History
Mid-South Plumbing Company is built on four generations of craftsmanship, integrity, and service. Our story begins with Claude L. Fulcher, Jeremy White’s great-grandfather, a respected plumber in Shelby County and owner of Fulcher Plumbing. Claude’s two sons worked alongside him, carrying forward the family’s dedication to quality work.
One of the men who worked in the Fulcher Plumbing business was Claude H. White Sr., who married
Claude Fulcher’s daughter,
Virginia, becoming his son-in-law. Claude White Sr. later transitioned to Mid-South Plumbing and
Heating Company, where he
continued to grow in his profession. After years of service, he purchased
Mid-South from owner James Gentry and led the company until his retirement.
After his retirement, leadership passed to the next generation. Claude H. White Jr. and his wife, Janice, continued operating Mid-South with the same commitment to excellence and integrity.
In May 2003, Jeremy White joined Mid-South as an apprentice plumber. His wife, Katie, joined the team in 2006 in the accounting department. Jeremy completed his five-year apprenticeship in 2008 and immediately began working toward his master plumber license. He earned his master license in 2011, and the following year he and Katie began their purchase of Mid-South, becoming the fourth generation in the family’s plumbing tradition. Under Jeremy and Katie’s leadership, Mid-South has expanded beyond plumbing and mechanical services into a full-service General Construction company with a metal fabrication shop, allowing us to serve our community with a broader range of solutions. Through every season of growth, our foundation remains the same.
For more than 85 years, God has continually blessed Mid-South as we serve our communities with excellence, integrity, and a commitment to doing what’s right. Our past shapes our future—and our mission remains rooted in our faith and trust in God, hard work, and service.
